Initially, remove the negative battery cable and drain the cooling system up to the refrigerator level. Pull the clip from the charge air hose retaining point at the intake manifold to remove the hose and seal from the engine and then disconnect the connector from the EGR positioner and EGR cooler hose. Remove the fasteners holding the EGR with cooler assembly, then pull the whole EGR out. Install the EGR positioner on the intake manifold with a new gasket, clean all the gasket surfaces, use bolts and tighten them to 124 lbs in (14 Nm). Secure the EGR positioner electrical connector, make sure the seal on the charge air inlet tube is fine and replace it when necessary. Drop the charge air tube onto the intake manifold and press on the retaining clip for the tube. Top off your cooling system and secure the negative battery cable once again.
