    The first step to removing the intake manifold is to unplug the negative Battery Cable and drain out the coolant. After that, take out the air filter housing and intake air tube and carry out the fuel pressure release process. First cut off the battery charge wires, next unplug the PCM wires and take away the PCM with its bracket and bolts and also unplug the Fuel Rail connectors. Take out the bolts holding the engine wiring harness and move it somewhere out of the way. Discharge the vacuum from the brake booster hose, remove the Mass Air Flow Sensor and separate the oil separator tube from the oil separator. Take care to remove the crankcase ventilation sensor hose, the right and left hand exhaust and intake Camshaft Position Sensors, the Short Runner connector, the throttle sensor connector, the Tumbler Valve Solenoid connector, the MAP Sensor harness connector and the Electronic throttle control solenoid connector. Take the engine harness out of the way and then disconnect the connectors of the fuel injector harness. Let off the pressure on the fuel rail, unplug the fuel line and remove all the bolts holding the fuel rail before taking it out. Next, remove the vacuum hose from the EVAP purge solenoid, take out the power brake booster vacuum connection from the intake manifold and the air pump solenoid vacuum hose.
