Dodge Stratus Spoiler Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Safely Remove and Install the Spoiler on the JR-41 Sedan and JR-27 Convertible on Dodge Stratus?
    A:
Before removing the spoiler from the Jr-41 (Sedan), remove the decklid if it is attached. After that, get rid of the four nuts and take down the spoiler. If your Jr-27 (Convertible) requires it, first remove the decklid cover, then unscrew the three nuts. Apply a trim stick or use a suitable tool to release the tape where it connects the spoiler to the decklid, lift the back of the spoiler past the studs and take it off. Get rid of all double-sided tape and then carefully clean the area with Mopar(R) Super Kleen or something similar. When doing the Jr-41 (Sedan), put the spoiler and nuts in place, tightening the nuts to 3 N.m (30 in.lbs.) and then replace the decklid cover. For the Jr-27 (Convertible), use a cleaner containing alcohol on the bonding surface for the decklid and spoiler, add double-sided tape to the back of the spoiler when required and peel away the backing from the spoiler tape. Put the spoiler on the decklid and push along the edge so the studs and holes match up properly. Open the decklid, attach the spoiler with the nuts and tighten them to 5 N.m (45 in.lbs.), before closing the decklid again.
