First, take out the transmission, then lift off the clutch cover and disc to work on the pilot bearing. Take out the pilot bearing with a properly sized blind hole puller. To install, brush the solvent into the bearing bore and dry it with a shop towel. Use Mopar high temperature grease on the new pilot bearing, place it into the bore by hand and make sure the seal is on the side that will face outward from the transmission. With a clutch alignment instrument, center the pilot bearing as you seat it, since this stops the bearing from being cocked during the process. Push the bearing into position so that it is level with the bore, not set back at all. After that, put the transmission back where it was removed from.
