How should the Starter Relay be serviced on Jeep Cherokee?

To service the starter relay, first disconnect the battery negative cable. Using the fuse and relay layout label located on the underside of the PDC cover, remove the PDC cover and find the location of the starter relay. Lift the starter relay out of the PDC. To install, refer to the same label for proper positioning of starter relay, the relay shall be positioned in the proper receptacle and the relay terminals aligned with terminal cavities. Press down on the starter relay until the contacts are fully seated. Reinstall the PDC cover and reconnect the battery negative terminal finally.
