Where is the Crankshaft Position Sensor located, and How to remove it on Jeep Compass?

The rear of the engine block, close to the transmission, houses the crankshaft position sensor. To remove it, the engine cover must first be removed. In the following step, negative battery cable should be isolated and disconnected. After that, take away the air cleaner body. Next, detach the wire harness retainer for the upstream O2 sensor and the wire harness retainer for the crankshaft position sensor from the heat shield.
