How to Maintain a Sun Visor on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

To work on the sun visor, remove the screws that secure the Sun visor arm support bracket to the headliner and roof panel. When the vehicle has a vanity mirror, make sure the electrical connections are disconnected. After that, pull off the support bracket and the Sun visor from your vehicle and then pull out the support bracket's screw. To set up the Sun visor, first add the retaining screw and support bracket, after which you can add the Sun visor into your car. If the mirror requires a harness, connect it now before clipping the Sun visor onto the support bracket. After that, attach the support bracket with the Sun visor to the headliner and roof panel.

To take it down, release it from the visor support, unscrew the two holding screws and then remove it from the roof panel. If your vanity mirror is wired, remove the connector from the vanity mirror wire harness. As part of installation, if your van has an illuminated vanity mirror, connect its harness connector to the wiring harness. Place the sun visor on the headliner and install the two screws on the headliner, tightening them firmly to 2 N.m (20 in.lbs.). Move the support for the sun visor so that it connects with the sun visor itself.
