After that, take out the right front wheel, the underbody air dam and the accessory drive splash shield. After that, remove the drive idler pulley and loosen the bolt at its lower mounting point. Moving the A/C compressor down and to the edge of the vehicle opposite the generator will allow enough access for removal. Unconnect the field circuit from the generator and afterward, undo and take out the B+ terminal nut and wire. Following that, remove the upper mounting bolt and the lower mounting bolt from the generator. Place the battery terminal (1) opposite the A/C line (2) for easier generator removal. Turn the generator pulley down and take out the generator from the car.
