Weather Strip is precisely manufactured from high quality and highly durable materials that include the material EPDM rubber and material TPE and it is designed to resist both high and low temperatures and automotive fluids in order to make it effective and lasting. Due to its flexibility of fitting different Jeep Wrangler models and both the two-door and the four-door models, it is a perfect companion for Jeep lovers. The Weather Strip not only allows security from scratches on metal parts of the vehicle but it also plays an important role in improving the working of the vehicle and safety of passengers sealed in the cabin. Notably, there is a unique product called Jeep Wrangler Weather Strip in the automotive market because of its coating services that increase resistance of UV rays and chemicals that mean longevity is increased. Q: Can the Weather Strip on the Liftgate Glass Be Serviced Separately or Is It Permanently Attached on Jeep Wrangler?
A:
Because the liftgate glass weather strip is permanently bonded to the liftgate glass, there's no way to fix or replace it by itself; the whole liftgate glass needs to be changed instead.
Q: How to Maintain and Fix the Weather Strip on a Tailgate on Jeep Wrangler?
A:
The first step is to loosen the push-in fasteners on the top of the tailgate, holding down the top corners of the weather strip. Lift the weather strip at the edges of the tailgate top and pull it out of the tailgate channel. If you find the weather strip channel needs to be replaced, remove it by taking out the tailgate. Before you install, wipe the tailgate contact area on the channel with cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Eliminate the paper backing on the new channel and secure the weather strip to the tailgate with push pin fasteners. Lay the weather strip channel on the tailgate and push it in place partly by hand and partly with a rolling pin to get a full bond. After that, place the push pin fasteners on the back of the weather strip and use them to attach it to the tailgate. Then insert the weather strip into the tracks on the door.
