Ram Air Injection Pump assists Ram trucks to reduce the cold-start emissions as it forces fresh air into the exhaust before the catalyst heats up and the drivers can enjoy a cleaner power immediately. This small Air Injection Pump is installed in the secondary air system and its primary task is to accelerate the catalyst light-off to ensure that tailpipes remain clean. Over the years, Ram has transformed work pickups into comfortable daily drivers, with luxurious silent cabins, huge touch screens, and the ingenious RamBox that keeps the equipment secure in the bedside. It is a balance between muscle and efficiency with optional adaptive air suspension that lifts or lowers two to eight inches, a low profile that sips gas on the highway, and an imminent e-Torque mild hybrid assist that increases low-speed pulling power. Powerful frames create a strong load, but soft seats and intelligent storage also imply that the passengers are in their places on the long trip, and it is proved that a Ram brings both the muscle and the brains to any type of road. When replacing the pump comes, the first thing is to park the Ram, disconnect the battery and leave the engine to cool. Find the Air Injection Pump and the hoses and remove the coverings, pull the electrical connection and loosen the hoses. Removal of old unit: unbolt the old unit, remove brackets where necessary and carefully and evenly attach the Air Injection Pump. Detach and reattach hoses and the connector, renew shields, reconnect the battery, clear codes, start the engine, and listen to leaks or strange noises which ensure a clean installation.
