To replace or change the Battery Tray you have to park the Ram in a flat surface, push the brake button and pop the hood. Unbolt the old tray, disconnect the negative cable and then the positive cable followed by lifting off the battery and unbolstering. Brush rust off, spray the mounting area with protective spray, and have a test-fit of the new Battery Tray to ensure that the bolt holes are aligned. Install the hardware firmly in place, replace battery once more, clamp the hold down and again connect positive and negative leads. Conclude by wiggling the battery, closing the hood and ensuring nothing is in motion even when the Ram goes over a pothole.
