To ensure the cabin air is cool, the Ram Evaporator combines Ram durability with an effective heat exchanger, which rapidly draws heat and moisture out of all the vents in the car, providing its drivers with cool comfort anywhere they drive. Since 2010, Ram has thrived as an independent truck brand, combining several decades of pickup history with new amenities, such as e-Torque mild hybrid assist, which is designed to enhance low-speed pull and fuel economy. Adjustable air suspension allows a Ram to lift eight inches in order to make it over rocks or lower it in order to cut the wind, and the ingenious RamBox bedside storage places gear. Broad, silent cabins, massive touch screens and hard frame strength transform a daily commute or a load to an effortless ride, which confirms that Ram believes that comfort is just as important as power. A HVAC Evaporator, which is installed within the HVAC case, is the cold core of the AC, boiling refrigerant, which is then passed through the dash, chilled and dried. The first steps in installing a new Evaporator include disconnection of battery, recover of refrigerant, drainage of coolant when necessary, removal of trim up to HVAC case. Then unscrew and unscrew refrigerant hosing, unplug wiring harness, label connectors and draw the module or access panel out. Removal of old core, replacement of seals and sensors, installation of new Evaporator with fresh O-rings, retainer installation, and closing a case in a tight manner. Reconnect ducts, lines and connectors, replace coolant, evacuate system and recharging, test existence of leaks with UV dye, and ensure robust and uniform cooling at all fan speeds.
