The Ram Fan Shroud forces the cool air into a tight flow across the radiator allowing the engine to remain calm during heavy towing and city traffic. To change a Fan Shroud, park the car and allow the engine to cool first and then remove the battery. Take off any covers or hoses that may be covering your radiator, loosen bolts and clips and carefully manoeuvre the old shroud around the fan blades. Put the new Fan Shroud into the identical guide rails, and so the tabs in the same row, and pre-form all the bolts by hand-cranking to ensure that nothing breaks. Connect hoses and covers back in, reconnect the battery, rotate the fan manually to ensure it runs freely, and crank the engine on, monitoring the smoothness of the airflow that represents the installation is complete.
