How to Service and Repair a Ball Joint on 2000 Chrysler Cirrus?

The first step to service and repair an upper ball joint is to remove the seal boot from the joint using a tool. Then, fit a NEW boot over the ball joint assembly, pushing it on all the way onto the ball joint. For this reason, do not rely on an arbor press, since pressing it hard can tear the sealing boot. Put Special Tool 6758 above the sealing boot, line it up with the edge and push down by hand until the sealing boot is pushed firmly against the upper control arm. Lubricate the ball joint assembly found in the upper part of the suspension with Mopar Multi-Mileage Lube or an alternative.
