2000 Chrysler Concorde A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace an A/C Hose in an HVAC System for Suction Hose on 2000 Chrysler Concorde?
A: Before you change the A/C suction hose/line, take out the refrigerant from the A/C system using a working recovery machine. After that, unscrew the M13 nut at the suction line, making sure to plug up all lines and the tubes at the expansion valve. Once that's done, disconnect the engine air inlet tube and air distribution duct so you can access the compressor lines. Unscrew the M10 Hex bolt fastened to the line holding the compressor, then grab and lift the rear of the air line out through the vehicle and the compressor end will come out as well. During installation, use the opposite steps for each fastener, tightening the TXV and compressor to 23 N.m (17 ft. lbs.) and the rail screw and mid-line nut to 7 N.m (5 ft. lbs.).
