  A: To begin, use your hand to raise the accelerator pedal while sitting in the car to take out the plastic retainer and wire core from the upper end of the arm. After that, separate the cable core from the wire at the pedals. Clamp both sides of the cable housing retainer at the dashboard and then remove the housing by drawing it into the engine compartment. After that, disconnect the air tube that is located at the top of the throttle body. Maneuver the throttle body lever all the way forward and pull the cable end backwards from the throttle pin. Press the release tab on the throttle body mounting bracket with a small screwdriver, avoiding strong pressure and lift the cable housing right out of the bracket. For installation, join the cable to the lever pin by snapping it on and in models with V-8 engines, make sure to anchor the cable below the plastic cam. At the throttle body mounting bracket, press down the cable to secure it and then put the other cable housing end into the dash panel opening until it snaps securely in place. Pull the cable wire through the hole in the pedal arm and secure it with the plastic retainer by fitting the index on the retainer to the index on the pedal arm.
