  A: Start by raising the accelerator pedal inside the vehicle and pulling the plastic cable holder and plug off the upper end of the pedal arm. After that, take the cable core wire out of the pedal arm. Use your hands to pinch the cable housing retainer, then pull the cable housing from the dash area into the front of the engine. After that, take out the air tube located at the top of the throttle body. Using your hand, open the throttle body lever all the way and pull the cable end rearward from the pin on the throttle lever. Press forward on the release tab at the throttle body mounting bracket with a small screwdriver until the cable is released and then lift the entire cable housing straight up. To set up the unit, put the cable end on top of the lever pin with the V-8 cable routed under the plastic cam where necessary. Push down the connection and lock it to the throttle mounting bracket. Slide the extra cable housing end into the opening in the dash panel and press to snap it into position. Put the cable wire into the hole in the pedal arm by means of the ball end and join it with the plastic retainer, matching the index tab on the pedal with the slot in the retainer. Test and control the throttle before turning on the engine and then install the air tube onto the throttle body.
