First, push up the accelerator pedal and take away the plastic clip (7) and the core wire (6) attached to the upper end of the pedal arm. After that, cut out the cable core wire on the pedal arm, then lift out the metal clip (2) that holds it in place on the dash. Unhook the air resonator box connected to the
Throttle Body and remove it from there as well. Pull the cable housing off the dash panel and leave it in the engine compartment, then move the throttle cable pin (1) out of the throttle body bellcrank. Hold a screwdriver (3) or pick against the release tab (2) and give it just a nudge to remove the plastic mount (4) from the bracket and let the throttle cable out from the right. To fit, put the accelerator cable plastic mount into the throttle body mounting bracket until the release tab (2) lines up with the hole in the bracket. While the throttle is held wide open, put the throttle cable pin (1) into the throttle body bellcrank. Stuff the cable housing into the rubber grommet and pass the cable through the hole in the dash panel and then attach the metal clip to keep everything in place. Insert the wire in the opening at the top of the pedal arm, then push the plastic retainer (7) into the pedal arm opening (6) until you hear it snap. After that, reattach the air resonator tube to the throttle body and try the accelerator pedal to ensure it won't bind while starting the engine.
