2000 Dodge Grand Caravan Cruise Control Servo Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Cruise Control Servo on 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Service or repair the cruise control servo by unlocking the hood latch, opening the hood and taking out the air cleaner resonator using the proper fuel system instructions. Remove the ends from the throttle cable and the speed control cable, press the lock tabs on the speed control casing to let it off the bracket and disconnect the vacuum pipe from the nipple inside the air intake plenum. Take out the tie wrap fastening the vacuum line, the throttle cable and the control cable. Then, take off the bolt holding the speed control servo to the battery tray/vacuum reservoir, remove that servo, then disconnect its wire connector and vacuum line. Put the speed control cable onto the replacement servo, mount the servo to the vacuum cleaner and finally link the vacuum line to the servo. Attach the wire connector again, screw the speed control servo onto the battery tray and tie up the vacuum line, throttle cable and speed control cable with the tie wrap. Then, attach the vacuum tube from the air intake nipple to the line at the plenum, hook the speed control cable casing to the cable bracket, reconnect the throttle and speed control cable ends to the throttle body and reinstall the air cleaner resonator.
