2000 Dodge Grand Caravan Seat Belt Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the Second Right Row Outboard Seat Belt on 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Before working on the outboard seat belt of the second row in a short wheelbase vehicle, first remove the second row seat. Reach into the holes and, with the anchor cover, lift off the anchor shoulder-nut from the other side. After that, pull out the lower anchor from the wheelhouse and pull off the D-pillar trim panel. Pass the seat belt webbing and loop from the turning area through the hole in the quarter trim and then take out the three bolts that secure the belt guide loop and anchor the retractor to the inside of the quarter panel. After that, take out the retractor for the second row seat belt. Form the position of the second row seat belt retractor and fit the anchor bolt into the inner quarter panel; fasten all seat belts to 39 N.m (29 ft. lbs.). After that, install the bolts connecting the seat belt guide loop to the inner quarter panel, push the seat belt through the hole in the quarter trim and put back the D-pillar trim panel. Place the lower anchor in the wheelhouse, then the lower anchor shoulder-nut and tighten all seat belts to 39 N.m (29 ft. lbs.) torque. After that, place the second row seat's lower anchor cover over the anchor shoulder-nut and reattach the seat.
