  A: Service and repair of the rocker arm assembly should begin with lifting off the cylinder head cover and finding the rocker arm shaft assemblies before you unlatch them. Take out the fastening bolts on top, then pull off the rocker arm shafts from the cylinder head. Lay out the rocker arm spacers and retainers where they belong and then remove the bolts that fix the rocker arm assemblies to the shaft to disassemble them. Take off the rocker arms and spacers by sliding them off the shaft and keeping them together. Make sure the rocker arm does not have any scratches, wears or damage and change it if there is. Inspect the holes to see if the plastic is worn out and replace them if it is. A rocker arm shaft which carries lubricating oil, should be checked for clogged oil holes and cleaned as needed. Screw the bolts to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.) in the renown sequence and put back the cylinder head cover.
