  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Rear Sway Bar Kit on 2000 Dodge Ram 3500?
    A: Start by raising and supporting the vehicle before anything else. Take out the nuts from the sway bar links and now use Puller C-3894-A to disconnect them. You should remove the sway bar retainer nuts and retainers after that, then take out the sway bar and put in any bushing replacements for worn, cracked or deformed ones. Once this is finished, get rid of the nuts and bolts on top of each link and lift out the links. Place the link loosely in the frame brackets and secure each frame with two nuts and bolts. Position the sway bar so it is centered with equal sides farther from the inside of the car, then fix the sway bar retainers and tighten the nuts till you reach 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Drop the sway link ball studs into the frame and close the nuts to a torque of 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.). Delicately move the car back down, be sure the head certification damage is not touched and tighten the upper axle nut to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
