2000 Dodge Stratus Fuse Box Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely and Effectively Service a Fuse Box on 2000 Dodge Stratus?
A: Essential before on vehicles with air bags, are safety procedures to make sure the bags are not activated by mistake. Both the Fuse Box and Body Control Module are on the driver's side and are connected, though you can disconnect them after removing them. First, get under the hood and unhook the remote terminal on the left shock tower from the negative side of the battery. After that, open the front driver's door, remove the end cap, the center bezel, the instrument cluster hood and the silencer. Unplug the wire harness connector from the Fuse Box and get rid of the three screws that mount it. Withdraw the Fuse Box/BCM/BCM down from the mounting bayonet, separate the connections on the BCM wires and remove the assembly from inside the vehicle. When the BCM is out, untie each of the two BCM security hooks and unscrew the two screws that attach the BCM to the Fuse Box. To put in place a light socket, undo the last steps of removal, check that all wiring is secure and safe and make sure all elements are well-connected.
