To change the front shock absorber, take the nut, retainer and grommet from the upper engine stud and the lower nuts and bolts from the axle bracket, then remove the shock. For installation, fit the lower retainer and grommet on the stud and pass the shock absorber up through the shock tower hole. Then, attach the lower bolts and nuts, tighten them to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.), followed by the upper grommet and retainer, fastening the nut to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
