2001 Chrysler LHS Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace the Oxygen Sensor at the Catalytic Converter Outlet on 2001 Chrysler LHS?
A: Before touching the downstream sensor at the outlet ends of the catalytic converter, give the engine a chance to cool to keep from being burned by the exhaust. The first step is to remove the negative battery cable and lift the vehicle before starting anything else. Remove the wire connection from the oxygen sensor without pulling the wire. Use oxygen sensor wrench YA 8875 to get the oxygen sensor out of your car. Since the new oxygen sensor threads come with anti-seize coating, just make sure not to add more compound. Place the oxygen sensor into position and tighten it by turning it 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Next, attach the wire connector. After that, lower the car and hook the negative battery cable back into place.
