2001 Chrysler Sebring EGR Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain and Fix the EGR Valve on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Before you work on or repair the EGR valve, unplug the negative battery cable and take out the air cleaner box. After that, undo the two bolts holding the EGR tube to the EGR valve and then the two bolts on the EGR valve connecting it to the cylinder head. After disconnecting the transducer from the battery, lift the dump tube and take out the EGR transducer through the hole. During installation, loosen the valve and transducer slightly and place them on the gasket onto the head of the cylinder, then connect the 2 bolts from the EGR tube to the EGR valve and tighten them. Attach the electrical connector back to the EGR transducer and extend the vacuum hose and attach it to the EGR transducer. Now, put back the air cleaner box and connect the negative battery cable.
