Start by opening the hood and releasing the latch for service and repairs to the starter motor. Disconnect the negative battery cable and then remove the air cleaner box. After that, take out the lower bolt, then the upper bolt and ground wire. Next, pull the starter out and unplug the wire connector from the solenoid at the terminal. Never forget to unplug the B+ wire as well as the soldenoid wire from the start terminals and disconnect the nut that is attached to B+ wire. For installation, match the solenoid with the B+ wire to the starter terminals, hold the B+ wire firmly in place and then match the solenoid wire connector. Attach the starter, place the bolts on top and bottom, reinstall the air cleaner box and reconnect the negative battery cable.
