2001 Chrysler Sebring Wiper Blade Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Effectively Replace and Maintain Wiper Blades on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: To put in a new wiper blade, power on the wipers, move the wiper arms on the windshield by cycling between ON and OFF settings and after the blades are where you want them, power off the vehicle. Move the wiper arm upward to raise its blade off the window and free the assembly from the arm by pressing the release tab beneath the arm tip and pushing the assembly sideways. It's important to notice that the driver's side wiper is curved downward. Kindly place the end of the wiper arm back against the windshield. From time to time, wipe down your wiper blades, arms and windshield with a cloth and a gentle detergent or cleaner to clean away any road dirt and salt. When streaking or smearing doesn't improve, you should replace the windshield wipers. As you use the wiper, see that it smoothly moves over the windshield in both ways; and as it changes, notice if it rolls a little above center, since skipping or chattering could mean you need to adjust the wiper blade insert or the spring on the wiper arm. Chattering from new blades may suggest the blade is not rolling right and may require wipers to be adjusted. To attach the wiper, raise its arm tip off the windshield, adjust the air foil of the blade on the driver's side so the front curls down and then press the blade onto the arm tip and lower it to the windshield. After that, turn ON the ignition, switch OFF the wipers and finally turn OFF the ignition.
