How to Service and Repair an Air Bag on 2001 Dodge Caravan?

As the first step of servicing or repairing the air bag, wipe away the powder remaining in the car's interior. First remove the instrument panel and then retain the elements you can put back on the brand new one. To remove an undeployed air bag, first remove the instrument panel and take out the dash trim, then get to the air bag fasteners and unplug the yellow wire connector, secure the passenger air bag bolts to lock them away and finally pull the air bag from the insect panel through its back. To install, first move all reusable parts to the new instrument panel, attach the new Passenger air bag there, secure it using the attaching bolts and link the yellow connector again. Attach the instrument panel into place. You should not link the battery negative cable to the vehicle until the air bag system has been evaluated and tested.
