  A: Begin by finding the door for the cabin air filter on the bottom of the lower evaporator housing which is just outside the passenger side of the center instrument panel stack. Lift the air filter door latch onto the back side until the door locks into place and then pull the air filter door straight down to separate it from the opening. Pull the air filter straight out by reaching through the lower evaporator housing's filter opening with your hands. While installing, check that the arrow on the foam around the frame points toward the middle of the vehicle. After aiming the arrow, place the filter into the top of the evaporator housing through the opening for the air filter. After reinstalling the air filter door onto the housing opening, with the latch pulled away from the clasp, move the latch until it meets its closed stop at the front end of the car.
