  A: Start by removing the negative cable from the battery remote jumper terminal before you work on the upper intake manifold. Start by getting rid of the air inlet resonator and inlet tube, next take the throttle cable and speed control cable from the throttle arm and bracket and then remove the throttle cable bracket. Unplug the connector wires from the MAP Sensor, IAT Sensor, TPS Sensor, IAC Motor and the MTV should you have one. Also, you need to disconnect the Vapor Purge hose, Brake Booster hose, Speed Control Servo and Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose. Take off the EGR upper tube, unscrew the upper fastener at the throttle body support bracket and move the engine name cover out of the manifold using some upward force.
