How to Maintain Your Thermostat on 2001 Dodge Intrepid?

To service the thermostat, remove the negative cable, empty the cooling system, and remove the engine oil dipstick. Raise the vehicle and prop up the engine and remove the left engine mount. Remove hoses, thermostat housing and install new thermostat. Reassemble elements and re-fill the cooling system.
