Is It Possible to Replace the Water Pump Without Discharging the Air Conditioning System on 2001 Dodge Intrepid?

The water pump can be replaced without the air conditioning system being discharged. A small amount of coolant weep is normal, but heavy deposits are the sign of a seal failure. To replace it, drain the cooling system, remove parts and inspect for damage. Reinstall by cleaning surfaces, tightening bolts to 12 Nm.
