How to Maintain and Fix a Hood Latch on 2001 Dodge Ram 1500?

To service the hood latch, open the hood and mark the location of the hood latch through the radiator cross member. Remove the bolts and disconnect the cable to remove the latch. Reinstall by connecting the cable and aligning it, tightening the bolts to 11 N.m and check for fit of the hood.
