2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Van Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to replace the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Van?
A: An Intake Manifold Temperature (IMT) sensor can be found in the front/side of the intake manifold. For vehicles with this included, begin by unhooking the negative battery cable at your battery. After that, take off the engine cover and the air cleaner housing. Remove the electrical connector at the sensor and, with it disconnected, remove the sensor from the intake manifold. After installation, set the torque for the sensor back on the intake manifold at 28 Nm or 20 ft. lbs. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor, then install the engine cover and the air cleaner housing. Finally, attach the negative battery cable to the battery.
