2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Van Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to remove and install the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Van?
A: You will find the Intake Manifold Temperature (IMT) sensor in the front/side of the intake manifold and the engine cover and air cleaner housing should be removed if the engine is this type. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery as your first step. It is necessary to remove the engine cover and the air cleaner housing for this engine. Subsequently, disconnect the connection cable at the sensor and slide the sensor out from the intake manifold. Attach the sensor over the intake manifold, tighten it down to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) of torque and reinstall the electrical connector. After this, put on the engine cover and the air cleaner housing and link the engine to the negative battery cable.
