How to service the cruise control switch on 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Van?

When servicing the cruise control switch, disconnect negative battery cable in order to turn off the air bag system and then wait two minutes. Take out the air bag module, switching screens and the switching screen. Re-attach the switch, fix it with screws, re-attach the air bag module, and re-attach the battery cable.
