2001 Dodge Ram 3500 Car Speakers Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace Car Speakers in the A-Pillar of an Infinity Premium System on 2001 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: Disconnect the battery negative terminal before starting to uninstall the tweeters in the A-pillars. If removing it is possible, please take out the grab handle from the car's A-pillar. In the next step, pull the trim from the front panel to get at the tweeter wire harness connector. Separate the body wire harness connector from the A-pillar tweeter wire harness connector and remove the trim and tweeter as one. Let go of the tweeter wire harness retainers from the heat stakes on the back of the A-pillar trim, then press evenly against the tweeter from the inside until it comes free from the mounting hole. To attach the new tweeter, slide it into the mounting hole in the A-pillar trim and push it in evenly from the outside. With suitable tape or adhesive, adhere the tweeter wire harness inside the A-pillar trim, then press the tweeter and trim against the A-pillar as you fit them. Attach the body wire harness connector to the A-pillar tweeter connector, put the trim into place and, when needed, reinstall the grab handle. The last step is to fasten the negative battery cable.
