How to Service and Repair a Front Door Latch Assembly on 2001 Dodge Ram 3500?

Raise the window to the top and then remove the waterdam before you begin servicing the front door latch. Following this, unhook the actuator rods and take out both bolts. Then, separate the electrical connector and take out the latch. When installing, start by connecting the electrical connector and putting on the latch assembly, then add and tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 in.lbs). Link the rods to the actuator, alter the latch as you see fit and in the end, install the waterdam.
