What Needs Replacement and Cleanup After Air Bag Deployment on 2001 Dodge Stratus?

If a Driver air bag goes off, you have to change the Driver air bag, Steering Wheel, Clock Spring and Steering Column assembly, since they can't be used again and any other driver air bag system parts that show damage should be exchanged too. When a Passenger air bag is installed, the Passenger air bag and the Instrument Panel and Pad Assemblies must be changed and the glove box, top cover, cluster hood, steering column cover, right trim bezel, end cap or other damaged components need to be replaced. For cleanup, turn the air bag towards the parts under the instrument panel or steering wheel, put tape on the door or fasten it to the steering wheel. Start vacuuming the interior with a vacuum, working towards the inside from the outside so you don't injure yourself and don't forget to go over the heater and A/c outlets too. Should the heater or air conditioner be in Recirc mode when the air bag system is triggered, run the blower on low speed and clean any powder residue coming out of the heater and air conditioner ducts approximately seven times.
