How to service a pilot bearing on 2001 Jeep Cherokee?

To service the pilot bearing, remove the transmission, clutch cover and disc. Use a blind hole puller to pull out the bearing. Clean the bore, put grease on the new bearing and place bearing with the seal facing outward. Use a clutch alignment tool to seat it, and then reinstall the transmission.
