2002 Chrysler Town & Country Knock Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Knock Sensor on 2002 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Service the knock sensor by taking out the negative battery cable and raising the vehicle securely. In case of All Wheel Drive vehicles, first remove the PTU from the transmission, as described in that section. Take off the electrical connector from the knock sensor, then remove it with a crow foot socket. Add the knock sensor to the side of the cylinder block in the rear, tighten it with 10 Nm or 7 ft. lbs. of torque, to make certain the engine and spark function properly. Return the electrical connector to the knock sensor, put the PTU for all wheel drive cars back in position, lower the car and then attach the negative battery cable again.
