How to Service and Repair an Axle Shaft Seal for a 9 1/4 Inch Rear Axle on 2002 Dodge Durango?

Before servicing or repairing the 9 1/4 inch rear axle seals, remove the axle shaft. Take your pry bar and work the edge underneath the axle shaft seal at the end of the axle tube. Thoroughly clean the interior of the axle tube, also getting out any remaining sealer and bumps. Before putting on the seal, lubricate its lip with axle lubricant, then put it in place with the kit's Installer C-4076-B and Handle C-4735-1, making sure the seal is pushed down properly. Once everything is done, fasten the axle shaft into place.
