How to Remove the Left Camshaft on 2002 Dodge Ram 1500?

To remove the left camshaft, be sure the timing chain is off without turning the camshafts or crankshaft. Prevent tensioner overextension using Special Tool 8379. Mark the timing chain links, loosen camshaft bolts and remove camshaft. Lubricate and install the new camshaft, and tighten the bolts in sequence, torqueing the sprocket bolt to 122 Nm.
