How to Maintain and Fix Control Arm Bushing Issues on 2002 Dodge Ram 1500?

To work on or replace the lower control arm bushings, take out the arm and fix it in a vise. Extreme pressure lubrication applied to the threads increases how long the tool will function and also guarantees it will operate as intended during installation and removal. When replacing the large bushing, position bushing remover tools 8836-2 (receiver), 8836-4 (spacer) and 8836-5 (driver), together with threaded rod 8839 and the bearing as described. When replacing the small bushing, use driver 8836-6, spacer 8836-3 and receiver 8836-2 together with the threaded rod 8839 and the bearing as shown.
