How to Safely Service a Seat Heater Without Damaging the Cushion on 2002 Dodge Ram 1500?

In order to service the heated seat, do not take away the original side of heating. Unconnect the negative battery cable and trim cover, cut the wires of the old element. Place the new part on top of the old one, re-connect the electrical connections and check to ensure that it is working and then replace with the trim cover.
