How to Service the Cigarette Lighter Power Outlet on 2002 Dodge Ram 1500?

To service the cigarette lighter, remove the battery negative cable. Remove the knob and element, and snap ring pliers to cause the receptacle base to disengage from the panel. Disconnect wire harness, remove mount, for installation reconnect wire harness, align base and reinstall knob or cap.
