How to Maintain and Fix a Fuel Tank on 2002 Dodge Ram 2500?

To service the fuel tank unit, drain and remove the fuel tank. Clean the area, and remove the locknut with Special Tool 6856. Replace the rubber gasket, clean the locknut and position the module ensuring alignment. Tighten the locknut 24-44 Nm before reinstalling the fuel tank.
