To fix the starter motor, disconnect the negative battery cables and lift up the vehicle. Remove the protective boot from and the battery positive cable from the solenoid. Remove starter motor, with aluminum spacer, if any. Reinstall the starter, tighten bolts, reconnect wiring and lower the vehicle.
