To take out the cigarette lighter, unhook the battery negative cable. Pull out the light knob and check the base of the receptacle. Use snap ring pliers to disconnect the retaining bosses and then disconnect the wire harness. For installation, reconnect the harness, level the receptacle and reassemble the knob or cap.
